Know the course before you run it

ENDURANCEANALYTICS.

Know the course before you run it: course breakdown, finish time, weather, poles and fueling for every trail race.

Join

Connect Strava – we'll calculate your terrain adaptation and analyze your first race.

You train for months, but the race falls apart due to one overlooked detail.

The slot is paid for, logistics are planned, gear is ready. The miles are logged, your fitness is peaking – all that’s left is to execute and enjoy the race. But in trail running, the most frustrating part isn't just missing your target time or watching people pass you for half the race. The worst is getting injured or DNFing because you started too fast.

Where are the hidden "walls" with a 40% gradient on the track?

02

How to estimate a realistic finish time when 21 km in the mountains takes as long as a road marathon?

03

Will your legs survive a series of long descents, or will you end up walking the final section?

04

How to avoid going anaerobic in the first few kilometers by getting caught up in the crowd's pace?

05

How many gels, water, and electrolytes are needed for a specific race?

A clear plan instead of pre-race anxiety.

Close the gaps

Trail Finder locates the specific slopes you need nearby.

Find local climbs

Close the gaps in your experience, find and train on the terrain you'll encounter in the race.

  • We analyze race courses and extract climbs and descents of various steepness and lengths.
  • We suggest which gradients are missing in your experience for a target race, but you can choose any.
  • Search near your home, at a training camp, or anywhere in the world.
  • Google Maps will route you to the start of the selected section in one tap.

Estimate finish time

Estimation based on your ITRA Performance Index, factoring in elevation gain, altitude, and surface.

  • We analyze the elevation profile of the uploaded GPX track for the upcoming race.
  • Using an ML algorithm, we calculate the Technical Difficulty Index (TDI) of the specific route.
  • Based on these metrics, the actual distance with elevation gain is converted into an equivalent length in Flat Kilometers (FlatKM).
  • The estimated finish time is calculated based on your ITRA PI and the resulting flat equivalent of the course.

Plan checkpoint nutrition

How many carbs, water, and electrolytes are needed between checkpoints.

  • The overall race route is divided into control segments.
  • For each section, the projected transit time is calculated considering its individual difficulty.
  • Based on this time, we calculate the required energy expenditure, fluid volume, and electrolytes.
  • We highlight the longest segment where there is a risk of running out of water supplies.

Frequently asked questions

How are gradients different from Strava segments?
Strava segments are about competition: who is fastest on a known stretch, leaderboards. Our gradients are about training: you specify which climb or descent to work on, its slope and length, and the map finds matching sections nearby. Or it highlights the terrain missing from your training that you'll face on race day.
Do I need a specific watch or Strava Premium?
No. A free Strava account is enough – it's the only source for your activities. There are no other integrations at the moment. (Garmin, Coros, Suunto, Apple Watch are planned).
What Strava data do you use and can I revoke access?
The activities you authorize build your experience matrix for gradients. You can revoke access anytime in Strava: Settings → "My Apps" (strava.com/settings/apps) → next to Endurance Analytics click "Revoke Access" – we will immediately stop pulling new activities. Or email us at contact@endurance-analytics.com.
My race isn't in the catalog – what should I do?
Upload the course's GPX track. The track will undergo the same processing: DEM elevation, gradient breakdown, difficulty rating, and finish time estimate. You can also add checkpoints and distribute nutrition and hydration automatically or manually.
How do I find a missing descent?
Race Fit shows which slopes and lengths are missing from your experience (gray gradients). The Gradient Search Map finds real sections of the required steepness near you or anywhere in the trail running world.
What does "14 days free" mean?
This is a trial period for the paid subscription: when signing up for Bro, a card is linked, but the first 14 days are €0. The first charge occurs on day 15. You can cancel anytime in the Creem portal – if you cancel before the trial ends, nothing will be charged. The free account works without this, no card needed.

Check your Race Fit

Objective comparison of your experience against the course profile.

  • We break down a complex race route into understandable segments, every descent and every climb.
  • The resulting segments are grouped into a single table based on the length of each section and its gradient percentage.
  • We analyze your running experience and map the actual gradients you've covered in training onto the course profile.
  • Missing gradients (gray gradients) are calculated to help you focus on the necessary terrain when choosing a training session.
