About MSD 50K

MSD 50K is a 50.0 km trail race of Ultra-Trail Shudao by UTMB 2025 in Guangyuan, China. The race starts on November 6, 2025. The course climbs 1964 m+ and descends 1960 m−, between a low point of 468 m and a high point of 1152 m. By gradient, 45% of the distance is uphill, 34% downhill and 21% flat. The longest climb runs 7.4 km at an average 8.8% grade (649 m of vertical). The longest descent runs 2.6 km at 15.1% (399 m of vertical). Surface: 59% trail and 28% road. Flat-equivalent effort: 58.0 FlatKM.

1,725 finishers completed the 2025 edition. Men's winner: Guidu Qin (China) in 3:44:26. Women's winner: Ting Zhang (China) in 4:37:34.
