About Walserwaeg Trail

Walserwaeg Trail is a 43.0 km trail race of Monte Rosa WalserWaeg by UTMB 2026 in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, Italy. The race starts on July 18, 2026. The course climbs 3100 m+ and descends 3054 m−, between a low point of 1372 m and a high point of 2635 m. By gradient, 39% of the distance is uphill, 43% downhill and 17% flat. The longest climb runs 5.4 km at an average 15.0% grade (803 m of vertical). The longest descent runs 4.5 km at 25.6% (1144 m of vertical). Surface: 82% trail and 8% road. Flat-equivalent effort: 72.1 FlatKM.

1,086 finishers completed the 2026 edition. Men's winner: Petter Engdahl (Sweden) in 4:19:29. Women's winner: Fabiola Conti (Italy) in 5:30:10.
